Tanisha L. Alston was one of the original founders of Dyme Magazine in 1998. Created along with four other women, Dyme was an online magazine that focused on pop culture, books, music, and relationship advice.

Tanisha moved on to become a freelance writer and worked for AllHIipHop, HipHopDX and wrote features on some of hip hop's biggest artists.

In addition, Tanisha's has done music and concert reviews for the Philadelphia Inquirer and also had her work featured in the Philadelphia City Paper.

Love, Loss, Found is her first collection of short stories. Tanisha has been interviewed about Love, Loss, Found on Philadelphia's WDAS FM radio show Insight and Newark FM Night Drive radio shows. She has been touring with her book since it’s release and has made appearances up and down the east coast. In November of 2019, word of mouth spread to California where she made numerous appearances in the Coachella Valley.
